Journal of Circular, Sustainable and Resilient Future

A Journal of the HICCER - Hariterde International Council of Circular Economy Research

Aims and Scope

The "Journal of Circular, Sustainable and Resilient Future" is a transdisciplinary research journal that aims to promote research and solutions to tackle critical societal challenges that contribute to a future characterized by:

  • Circular Economy: Minimizing waste and maximizing resource use through efficient product lifecycles and closed-loop systems.
  • Sustainability: Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
  • Resilience: The ability of systems (social, ecological, technological) to withstand shocks and adapt to changing conditions.

This journal seeks research that fosters transdisciplinary collaboration to tackle critical societal challenges.  We emphasize studies that integrate knowledge and methodologies from various disciplines, fostering a holistic approach that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries.  We are particularly interested in research that embodies the principle of "scientific rigor meeting societal relevance", where solutions are co-created through equitable partnerships between academics, practitioners, and stakeholders from diverse disciplines and sectors. Authors can submit research, review and short communication article types that are in transdisciplinary nature.

This journal would likely target a broad audience interested in the convergence of circularity, sustainability, and resilience, including:

  • Researchers and academics from various disciplines (engineering, economics, environmental science, social sciences, etc.).
  • Policymakers and government officials working on sustainability and resilience strategies.
  • Businesses and industry leaders seeking to implement circular and sustainable practices.
  • Sustainability professionals and consultants.
  • Students and individuals interested in learning more about these interconnected concepts.
